00Multiplayer Death Mechanics
In Green Hell a survival game, encountering death is a common aspect of the gaming experience. This guide explains what occurs when players die in a multiplayer setting.
As you navigate through the game your character might sustain various injuries or contract illnesses. If these health issues are not addressed they could escalate and ultimately cause your character's death.
In multiplayer mode the game does not feature permadeath. This means that if your character dies they will respawn at the last saved location but with diminished health. You will find that some of your equipment is missing. To retrieve your lost items you will need to return to your place of death, unless they have already been collected by another player.
The death of a character in co-op gameplay impacts the entire team. Specifically each surviving team member will experience a decrease in their mental health score following the death of a fellow player.

Multiplayer Saving Explained
In multiplayer mode of Green Hell the process of saving the game differs from the single-player experience. This guide will clarify these variations.
In both single-player and multiplayer modes the fundamental saving mechanism remains consistent. To save your game you must either locate or construct a specific structure. Blueprints for these structures are accessible from the start of the game and can be viewed in the notebook.
The primary difference in multiplayer saving lies in the scope of what gets saved. The host of the server chooses one of the available save slots and is responsible for saving all the game data. This includes all changes within the game world such as any buildings constructed during the session.
Players who join a multiplayer game do not have the ability to save the game world. Alternatively you can only their personal data such as health status, inventory and current location on the map are saved.

00Understanding Needs and Communication
In the multiplayer mode of Green Hell each player must manage their character's survival needs while collaborating with others. Players also have the ability to communicate, although the game does not support voice chat.
Communication in Multiplayer
Green Hell, developed by Creepy Jar, lacks an integrated voice chat system. Instead players communicate through a text-based chat system which can be accessed by pressing the "Enter" key. This method requires players to type out their messages which adds a layer of challenge in situations where quick or complex communication is necessary.
Managing Survival Needs in Co-op
The survival mechanics regarding a character's needs remain consistent whether in single-player or multiplayer settings. These needs diminish over time at a rate that varies with the game's difficulty setting. Players must continuously gather resources from their environment to replenish these needs.
A notable difference in multiplayer mode concerns how sleep affects the passage of time. Unlike in single-player, where time accelerates when the player sleeps, in multiplayer, time only speeds up when all players on the map are sleeping simultaneously. If a player sleeps alone, time continues to move at its standard rate and the restoration of energy becomes less efficient.

00Optimal Camping Locations
In Green Hell, setting up multiple camps is essential, with most serving as basic rest stops. You should consider establishing one primary camp that can be expanded into a comfortable living area. This guide highlights the best location for such a camp.
A prime spot to establish your main camp is at the coordinates 45W 31.5S, situated in a small oasis accessible by a single narrow path. This unique feature makes it easy to spot and defend against incoming threats. Strategically placing a bow trap at the entrance can enhance security.
The water at this location is clean, allowing for safe direct consumption without the risk of parasites and the area is also suitable for fishing.
Setting simple stone traps can provide a steady supply of meat as the area is home to various small animal species. The surrounding environment offers bananas and nut-bearing trees which are food sources.
This location is also rich in resources such as ropes and different types of wood, essential for building and crafting.
The major drawback of this site is its remote southern location on the map. Traveling to the northern parts where native settlements offer new blueprints and interactions can be time-consuming.
