The unhealthiest tasting healthy food you’ve ever had.
Blended Cottage Cheese is your new favourite snack, or appetizer, or breakfast, or lunch… it’s your new favourite thing to eat ok? It takes all of FIVE minutes to make, it’s decadent, it’s rich, it’s creamy, and it’s endlessly customizable. Is it the perfect food? It might just be.
Self-Indulgent foodie Chatter…
Cottage cheese is the new whipped ricotta, the new alfredo, the new… ice cream? What? Haven’t tried that one yet and to be honest I’m a little afraid of it. Which means, of course, that I will have to try it.
You know me and you know that yummy food with benefits is my MO. Taste is always first, and then if I can add in some nutritional perks without sacrificing the satisfaction of my craving I’m all for it. Cottage cheese is the perfect example. Rich, smooth & creamy yet packed with protein and nutrition. Big win for me. Big.
I have been stuffing cottage cheese into things for years in the interest of adding protein to foods for my kids, so it, and its delicious cousin ricotta cheese, are pretty much always in my fridge (and in my recipes… if you go to my recipe index page and search “ricotta” you’ll find some good stuff). So while it’s always a good add-in, whipping it up takes it to a whole new level.

About Me
Hi friend, I'm Joni!
Welcome to my site! I'm a self-taught, home cook who pretty much lives in the kitchen. Or with my nose in a cookbook. Cooking is my passion, my obsession, my very favourite thing. I make a lot of really good comfort food that's slightly elevated but isn't too fussy. I'm not here to teach you how to cook, I'm here to inspire you, to show you something new and really, really good, and to make you hungry. In my home, in The Pypers Kitchen, this is what we eat.
