This is the big week we’ve been waiting for in the streaming-verse. Not only has Prime Video debuted the first three episodes of The Boys season 4, but on Sunday, June 16, HBO and Max are premiering the second season of House of the Dragon. Between those two shows alone, genre fans are in for a treat. Also on Sunday, MGM+ is debuting its new crime drama, Hotel Cocaine.
Meanwhile, Netflix is giving romance lovers the second half of Bridgerton season 3. And if you missed any of the other big premieres in June including The Acolyte, Clipped, and more, they’re all among the best new shows to stream below.
Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Disney+, Paramount+, Peaco*ck, and Apple TV+ all have one thing in common: They’re more expensive than they used to be! We can live with higher rates as long as new shows keep coming, but it’s always a good idea to consider signing up for the ad-supported tiers, which are worth it if you can sit through a few commercials. If it can save you some money on your streaming bill, it’s worth it.

War has come to Westeros in the second season of HBO and Max’s Game of Thronesprequel series. House of the Dragon season 2 begins with Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) trying to reclaim her throne from her half-brother, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney). But how can Rhaenyra rule the seven kingdoms when she can’t even control her husband, Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith)?
Although Aegon is quickly resembling a precursor to GOT’s Joffrey, the real power behind the throne is mother, Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke). Once, Alicent and Rhaenyra were best friends. But that connection won’t save the people of the seven kingdoms from the Dance of the Dragons. When dragons fight in the skies, only death can follow.

Prime Video’s The Boys is back for its fourth season, and Homelander (Antony Starr) currently has the edge in his longstanding war with Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Not only has Homelander added Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry) to his corrupt team of “heroes,” he’s also corrupting his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), whom Butcher had vowed to protect.
Butcher’s more immediate problem is that he’s dying from overexposure to Temp-V, and his own team doesn’t want him to lead them anymore. Former heroine Annie January (Erin Moriarty) has also joined Butcher’s team, and may be a better leader if she can leave her Starlight persona behind. But never count Billy Butcher out of a fight. He’s always got something up his sleeve.

Outer Range starts off a lot like Yellowstone. It features an A-list star, Josh Brolin, as a rancher named Royal Abbott, who is consumed with keeping a rival family from stealing his family’s ranch out from under them. Things slip into sci-fi territory when Royal discovers that there’s an enigmatic black void on his land. From there, the present and the future collide in ways that Royal doesn’t fully understand.
As season 2 arrives, Royal just wants to keep his family together now that he’s finally realized who Autumn (Imogen Poots) really is. But as the mystery of the void deepens, Royal may not be able to hold on to the ones that he loves.

Evolve or die. One of the biggest problems facing the characters in Sweet Tooth’s third and final season is that many of the human characters would rather die than let the new human-animal hybrid children inherit the Earth. This is something that Gus (Christian Convery) has struggled with since he realized that some people would react badly to his half-deer features.
Season 3 starts with Gus and his friends on a long journey to Canada to reunite with Birdie (Amy Seimetz), the woman Gus is convinced is his mother. Birdie may be working on a cure for “the Sick” that has devastated the human population, but Gus is the one who has to decide whether humanity is worth saving at all.

Over a century before the Star Wars prequels, someone is going around killing Jedi in The Acolyte. Suspicion immediately falls on Osha Aniseya (Amandla Stenberg), the former apprentice of Jedi Master Sol (Squid Game season 2‘s Lee Jung-jae). In an instant, it’s as if the universe has turned on Osha as even her friends believe she’s a murderer.
The reality is more disturbing. A Sith is orchestrating the murders for his Acolyte to perform, and now there are only two names left on their hit list — including Sol himself.

FX’s Clipped takes a dramatized look back at one of the most turbulent times in the franchise’s history. Coach Doc Rivers (Laurence Fishburne) has put together a team that can win, but Clippers owner Donald Sterling (Ed O’Neill) just can’t seem to stop interfering in his work.

Last season, David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Jennifer “JJ” Jareau (AJ Cook), and the rest of the Behavioral Analysis Unit team uncovered a network of serial killers that was formed in the wake of the pandemic.
While the BAU identified and captured Elias Voit (Zach Gilford), the man behind the serial killer network, he still finds ways to be a thorn in their side in the new season. There’s also a new mystery on the horizon that may push the BAU team to their limits.
